Logos Christian School, Maai Mahiu is a unique Christian School within Naivasha sub county offering education for life and eternity. This is evident in our firm Christian teachings instilling values in our children and molding them into being responsible citizens in the future.
We are located along the Maai Mahiu –Naivasha highway at Jikaze. Between Maai Mahiu and Longonot .The school started in 2012 with the aim of catering for the needs of the displaced families within the then, Jikaze IDP camps. However, since a lamp on the mountain shines for all, the light reached Longonot and Maai Mahiu town where we also got children joining our school. For this reasons, we have expanded our school my constructing more classrooms and bought a school bus to cater for transport for our children from far
Our History
Logos Christian School, Maai Mahiu started as Jikaze Academy in 2009 in Jikaze IDP camp.it started as an ECDE centre to cater for the young learners who could not make it to the nearby public school which is about four kilometres. It started in the mud IDP houses since there were no classrooms with volunteering members of the community as teachers. The Nairobi chapel, having engaged with the community since 2008, saw the dire need and thirst for education in the community and chipped in to help the community. In 2010 an inter-church infrastructure committee was formed to oversee the construction of a primary school with the aim of rebuilding and transforming the displaced persons’ lives. The churches involved bought a piece of land where the school construction was done. In August 2016, the new school was officially opened by H.E the Governor of Nakuru county Hon. Kinuthia Mbugua in the witness of Nairobi Chapel’s senior pastor Oscar Muriu and the Jikaze community. With the vision of educating for life and eternity, the school has consistently grown to a commendable education centre attracting learners from all corners of the location and beyond.

Psycho-Physical Development
Children should have godly values that dictate how they live their lives and the choices they make. Some critical values are; Passion, Responsibility, Independent thinking, Confidence, and Exemplariness. These should be taught and instilled and progress tracked throughout the year. Physical health is critical in the well-being of each child and Logos activities are intentionally designed to ensure the overall well-being of the learner.

Relational IQ
Soft/ essential skills are critical for all to communicate, collaborate, and be effective and efficient. By learning to regulate their emotions or empathize with another, children develop people skills that are required for healthy living across all fields. With intentional discipleship-based staff interactions, children are dispensed with careful discipline, instruction, and guidance towards molding children who are rooted in their ways and have healthy relationships with peers. Primary School Hours
- School ends at 3:10 pm for Sifa, Imani, and Hekima -4-6 yrs. olds) class Monday to Friday.
- School begins at 7:15 am every day for Grade 6 and 7
- School ends at 3:30 pm Monday to Friday for classes one to seven.
Kindergarten School Hours
- Children may be dropped off as early as 7:30 am if necessary and will be supervised by a tea incher during that time.
